The wood frame has 2 pieces of metal, an abacus, and boat rope attached. The o boat rope I had picked up on beach walks.

I began the drawing on July 25 in pencil, drawing from a black and white photo of  Denise McNair. She was an African-American girl murdered by Ku Klux Klan members at a  bombing of a church in Birmingham, Alabama, Sept. 15, 1963. Four girls died. Denise McNair, born Nov. 17, 1951. She was age 11.

The sea monsters are allegorical.

Now former President Trump has never apologized for his years of national leadership of the "Birther" race hate campaign against now former President Obama and his family; against all African Americans and blacks worldwide. Mr. Trump boasts "I'm the most non racist person you'll ever meet."

Trump also espouses hatred of Hispanics, Hispanic-Americans, Asians, Asian Americans. During the 2016 election campaign he mocked a disabled New York Times reporter. And during the 2016 campaign he posted a Third Reich "Der Sturmer" (Nazi anti-Semitic newspaper, 1930's) inspired anti-Semitic meme image of a photo of Mrs Clinton with money, a Star of David, and inset text reading "Most corrupt candidate ever."

While some individual Trump supporting voters claim to be non-racist, their voting for him states otherwise and speaks volumes of support for race hate in the U.S.

Trump has made hate based on ethnicity, race, faith and national background the centerpiece of his campaigns. And recently the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that any president can engage in criminal conduct, which could include ordering assassinations, and that such criminals acts are legal if they're done as "official duties." ~ With Trump's praise of murderous dictators past and present, including Russia's Putin, and the late Saddam Hussein, Benito Mussolini, and Muammar Qaddafi, the U.S. is now on a precipice towards a totalitarian dictatorship if Trump wins the 2024 election.

While millions of Trump- loving Republicans vilify Islam and Arabs, Americans need to be reminded that late Libyan leader Qaddafi and his government took responsibility for his government's bombing of Pan Am flight 103, which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988. The victims were 243 passengers, 11 crew members and 11 residents on the ground. Of 190 passengers were American; 35 of those were Syracuse University students. Shame on Mr. Trump for his having spoken positively and with praise about Qadaffi.

Teachers can address the subject of prejudice, intolerance and tolerance in classes with children, adolescents and teens. And they can discuss art as a teaching tool, including depictions of allegorical sea monsters.

In 1964, other white racist American Ku Klux Klan member - terrorists murdered 3 civil rights workers in Philadelphia, Mississippi. One victim was African American; two were Jewish American.
