GORE'S DECISION TO FIGHT ON: If disenfranchised, GOP would sing different tune
Had the 19,000 discarded ballots in West Palm Beach been cast by white conservative Christian Republicans, rather than by a large number of elderly Jewish voters, Holocaust survivors and WWII vets, the Republican Party would be screaming bloody murder in their demands for a county-wide re-vote.
That's on top of the untold numbers of African-American, Haitian immigrant and white voters who were denied the right to vote throughout Florida even though they were registered.
As such, the electoral win by Gov. George W. Bush in Florida is a fraud and all the talk about Jewish Americans (and other minorities) having come of age in America with the selection of Sen. Joe Lieberman as a vice presidential candidate is nonsense.
